Mattel disappointed a few diehard fans with this! How hard would it have been to put in a plastic turbine engine under the hood? They are taking off with at least seven different Batmobile castings in dozens of different packages this year. Already out is a 1:64th scale three pack with a 1989 movie-inspired Batmobile facing off with cars for Bane and The Joker. Mattel also released the Hot Wheels Sizzlers, which introduced more muscle cars into the market. In 1974, the Flying Colors Line of toy cars were released, which featured cars with flashy decals and tampo-printed paint designs.
Batfans, it doesn't get much better than this! This is by far the most accurate version of the 1966 TV car that has ever been commercially available. Batman has since become, along with Superman and Spider-Man, one of the world's most well-known comic-book characters. Batman was co-created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, although only Kane receives official credit for the character. Batman has such a favored place in the cult annals of our superhero history, that the limited edition inclusion of this car into anyone's Hot Wheels collection should be an absolute must. With so few manufactured, the uniqueness and the fascinating detail of this model will be something to display and hang onto for decades.

In 1983, A new style of wheel called Real Riders were introduced, which had real rubber tires.
